Western Alaska Landscape Conservation Cooperative

The Western Alaska Landscape Conservation Cooperative (WALCC) is one of 22 LCCs established by the Department of the Interior. The WALCC spans western Alaska and includes a wide diversity of terrain. The WALCC's mission is to promote "coordination, dissemination, and development of applied science to inform landscape level conservation, including terrestrial-marine linkages, in the face of landscape scale stressors, focusing on climate change."
