Anchorage, AK 99508 Molly McCarthy is a graduate research assistant at the University of Alaska Anchorage, is working on reconstructing sockeye salmon populations on the Kenai Peninsula using lake sediment cores. The goal of her research is to examine salmon population fluctuations in the clearwater Russian River system and the glacial Kenai River system over the past 2000 years.
